Hours of work: Part time job share – Thursday and Friday

Starting date: 1^st September 2025

We are a popular Church of England Primary School based in the heart of Herstmonceux village. We are part of the Sussex Spires Federation alongside All Saints’ and St Richard’s CE Primary School and are in partnership with St Mark’s CE Primary School. We have a strong working relationship where we share good practice, experiences and support one another. Our school vision and values are at the heart of everything that we do at our schools.

We are looking to appoint an excellent class teacher to join our school family, initially working in KS2. We are keen to hear from inspirational teachers who are dedicated to providing a happy, positive and creative learning environment where each child can flourish. This is an opportunity to work in a single entry school with a strong commitment to working together with our Federation, Local Alliance schools, and a supportive school team.

We are looking for someone who:

Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high standards and expectations, with well-developed skills in behaviour management.
Is enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Believes in supporting every child to be the best that they can be.
Is committed to safeguarding, supporting pupils to thrive, and supportive of our Christian ethos.
Is a team player, with excellent communication skills.
Is able to lead a curriculum subject, after completing the ECT induction where appropriate.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: MPR1 to UPR3 - £31,650 to £49,084 (Pro rata for 0.4 FTE)
